Annotation for dissertation

It is proved by many scientists that the first need to be read the thesis, introduction, conclusion and after all this, if you like, they begin to read the text. Therefore, the annotation and introduction should be extremely clear and well-built. There should be a clear and concise description of what you did and the place of your task in common. The person reading this text should understand where your dissertation fits. The same applies to articles. If you want to perform well and avoid outside help, such as using services to write essays or private writers’ essays, then you should follow these rules.

The introduction should provide a brief explanation of why your task is interesting. This is what is called relevance.

Next, chapters. Chapters can be written in different ways. I really like the style in which the first chapter is the statement of the problem. Often the same chapter includes a literature review. A review of the literature can be scattered throughout the chapters, but usually the candidate’s review contains the first chapter. All this is individual and depends on you and your supervisor.

The conclusion. In summary, the results are usually listed. No need to waste time, if you get thirty small results, do not write about all thirty, write about three, but write weightily, about what you actually could achieve. A good style, if you write in conclusion about unsolved problems, it shows the author’s ethic.

Literature. There are several styles of design of the list of literature. The most convenient style is the Harvard system, when you write in the text: this result was obtained in somewhere (1997), and in the list of literature you make the list in alphabetical order. This is very convenient, because it allows you to add any new link at any time. There is a system when numbers are written in square brackets. Also a convenient system, the only thing, if at the last moment you need to add one or more works, you need to completely redo the reference numbers.

Now, the author’s thesis. The abstract repeats the structure of the dissertation, everything should be more concise, the only feature, you cannot refer to other people’s work.

Opponents and leading organization. Usually the leader advises whom to pick up an opponent. If you were active enough in the process of writing the work, speaking at conferences, you already know the experts in your field and then can propose candidates for opponents and discuss them with your supervisor. I advise you to select such opponents who will read the work.

The same leading organizations. The graduate student always passes through the leading organization.

Protection. Usually 20 minutes are spent on defending a thesis. Decent to keep within 16-17 minutes, different councils in different ways, so you need to watch on your hand during the speech. It helps to structure the text and understand what I have not finished in my speech. Repeat your speech at least 5-7 times to make sure you fit time.

If you want to perform well and avoid outside help, such as using services to write essays or private writers’ essays, then you should stick to these rules.
